Proper installation and use of Straight Shank Eyebolt are crucial for ensuring safety. Please read the following guidelines:
(1)Fully tightened
Ensure that the lifting bolt is fully engaged with the threaded hole of the workpiece. The threaded end face should be flush with or slightly lower than the installation surface. For through-hole installation, a nut should be used in conjunction.
(2)Thread engagement depth
Steel: At least 1 times the thread diameter
Cast iron, brass, bronze: At least 1.5 times the thread diameter
Aluminum alloy, magnesium alloy, zinc, plastic: at least 2 times the thread diameter
(3)Using a torque wrench
Tighten the bolts according to the standard recommended torque values. It is not recommended to rely on hand strength. Both excessive and insufficient torque can have adverse effects on the bolts.

(4)Load direction
The Straight Shank Eyebolt can only withstand vertical axial loads and must not be subjected to oblique pulling. If angle lifting is required, Shoulder Eyebolt or Swivel Hoist Ring must be used.
(5)Pre-use Inspection
Before each use, a visual inspection must be conducted, with particular attention to: whether the lifting rings are deformed, cracked or severely worn; whether the threads are loose, rusted or damaged; and whether the working load markings are clear and legible. If any cracks, bends or thread damage are found in the lifting ring bolts, they should be immediately discarded.
(6)Regular Maintenance
Establish a regular inspection schedule to conduct professional testing on the anchor bolts that are subject to long-term use.
(7)Prohibition of Modification
It is strictly prohibited to perform any form of modification on the Straight Shank Eyebolt, such as welding, heating, or bending.
(1)What is the working load limit (WLL) of the Straight Shank Eyebolt?
According to DIN 580, the vertical lifting WLL for M10 is 230 kg (approximately 0.23 tons); according to ASTM A489, the WLL of a 1/2″ British standard lifting ring bolt is approximately 2,500 lbs (approximately 1.13 tons).
(2)Can your products be reused?
They can be reused provided that a strict inspection is conducted before each use to ensure there are no damages. However, if the lifting rings show obvious deformation or twisting, the threads are severely worn, there are cracks on the surface, or rust appears, it is recommended to replace them.
(3)Can you produce bolts in non-standard sizes or with special materials?
Yes, we can. If you have any customization requirements, we can have a detailed discussion. We will complete the task according to your customized needs.
