The Xiaoguo® Standard Eye Bolts offer a wide range of material options to meet the needs of customers in various industrial environments and with different budgets. Below are several common materials and their corresponding characteristics:
(1)Carbon steel
Standard: C15E, C45E, 45#, Q235, 1018, 1022
Grade: 4.6, 4.8, 8.8
Features: High strength, large bearing capacity, high cost-effectiveness. Good toughness and welding performance.
Applications: Indoor environment, general industrial lifting, construction, storage equipment, mechanical maintenance, etc.
(2)Alloy steel
Standard: 40Cr, 35CrMo, 42CrMo, 35CrMoA
Grade: 8.8, 10.9, 12.9
Features: After undergoing heat treatment, the Standard Eye Bolts possess extremely high tensile strength, excellent toughness and outstanding fatigue resistance, and are capable of withstanding heavy loads and impacts.
(3)Stainless steel
Standard: 304 (A2), 316 (A4)
Grade: A2 - 70, A4 - 80
Features: Outstanding rust and corrosion resistance, shiny appearance, hygienic and easy to clean. The corrosion resistance is much higher than 304.
Applications: Marine engineering, coastal facilities, chemical industry, food, medicine, outdoor and other humid/corrosive environments.
(4)Hot-dip galvanized steel
Features: Through the hot-dip galvanizing process, a thick and durable zinc-iron alloy coating will be formed on the surface of the Standard Eye Bolts.
Applications: For outdoor buildings, agricultural equipment, fences, docks, etc., where weather resistance is required but a stainless steel grade is not necessary.
(5)Brass
Characteristics: Resistant to seawater corrosion, does not produce sparks, has no magnetism, and is aesthetically pleasing. Applications: Marine hardware, explosion-proof environments (such as oil and gas fields), special occasions with high electrical conductivity requirements.

When choosing the material for Standard Eye Bolts, the following principles are recommended:
(1)Indoor, dry environment: Carbon steel with electro-galvanizing is the most cost-effective option.
(2)Outdoor, humid or coastal environments: Preferentially consider hot-dip galvanized steel or 304 stainless steel.
(3)Highly corrosive or marine environments: 316 stainless steel is the best choice for ensuring long-term stability and safety.
(4)Heavy-duty, high-impact or critical equipment: Alloy steel (such as grade 10.9) can withstand extreme loads and ensure safety.
(5)Special environmental requirements: Materials such as brass can meet special scenarios like explosion-proof and non-magnetic properties.
