Round Head Eye bolt is widely used in high-pressure valves, pressure pipelines, fluid engineering, petroleum drilling equipment, oilfield equipment, safety instruments, gas detection instruments, textile machinery, medical equipment, etc. Piston bolts are commonly used in the fields of valves, animal husbandry, and ships.
Details of the products
Round Head Eye bolt is used more often in occasions that require frequent opening and loading/unloading, or on work piece components.
Round Head Eye bolt is a kind of fastener with special structure. It is characterized by one or both ends of the bolt with movable joints, allowing flexible rotation within a certain angle.
Processing And Packing
Processing: From raw materials to end product delivery, it has a strict control program. Accurate completion is done about wiring- roughing –annealing- pickling - drawing - heading - rolling - heat treatment -surface treatment -packaging and other aspects.
Packing:The regular package is cartons and pallets. 20-25 kgs per pallet and 36 cartons per pallet. Also we can pack as per the requirements of clients. To better ensure the safety of your goods, professional, environmentally friendly, convenient and efficient packaging services will be provided.
Zinc plating is the most widely used one. It coats the bolt surface with a protective layer via electroplating, which stops the bolt from rusting when you use it indoors or in mild outdoor environments.
Then there’s hot-dip galvanizing. Compared to zinc plating, its zinc layer is thicker and longer-lasting. It’s a good fit for harsher spots—like outdoor areas with heavy rain, high humidity, or some corrosive gases floating around.
Some bolts also get black oxide treatment. This process turns the bolt surface black, and it does have some rust-preventing effect, but that protection isn’t very strong. It’s usually used for indoor applications where there’s little moisture and no corrosive elements.
Besides these, we also do chrome plating and nickel plating for these bolts, though these two are less common. They’re mainly for special cases where you need better surface smoothness and corrosion resistance.
When it comes to the specs and grades of our round head eye bolts, the specs basically depend on the thread diameter and length. The common thread diameters range from M6 to M24, and the lengths go from 20mm to 150mm—these can cover most of your installation and usage needs.
For example, bolts with a smaller diameter and shorter length work for lightweight items. On the other hand, those with a larger diameter and longer length are for heavy-load fixing jobs.
The bolt grade is tied to its material and strength. The usual grades we have are 4.8 and 8.8. Grade 4.8 bolts are made of regular carbon steel, with medium strength—they’re right for general load-bearing situations. Grade 8.8 bolts are made of alloy steel, and after quenching and tempering, their tensile strength and yield strength are way higher than grade 4.8. They’re meant for situations that need strong and stable connections.
Besides these, there are also higher-grade bolts like 10.9, but they’re not often used in regular applications. When you pick one, just choose the right spec and grade based on your actual load-bearing needs and the environment it’ll be used in.
Q: Do you provide customized Round Head Eye Bolt, such as different eye sizes or thread lengths for our special fixtures?
A: We do full customization for our round head eye bolts. That includes adjusting the eye diameter (to fit your specific shackles), thread length (to match thick workpieces), and we can even add a shoulder to stop the bolt from rotating when you use it.
Custom orders need a minimum quantity of 1000 pieces. We’ll send you free samples for testing within 5 working days. Every customized round head eye bolt is made exactly to your drawings, and they all meet ISO 3266 standards.
