Robust Weld Round Nuts

Robust Weld round nuts are special one-piece fasteners made to be permanently welded onto a base material. They’re circular, often with a rounded top, and have threads inside to fit a matching bolt or screw.

Their main job is to give a strong, dependable, reusable threaded spot on things like sheet metal, frames, or plates—places where it’s not easy to tap threads directly, or where that wouldn’t be strong enough. They’re a basic part in built structures and machinery.

Their primary purpose is to create a strong, durable, and reusable threaded connection on thin metal sheets, frames, or flat surfaces. These are places where direct tapping is either difficult or insufficiently strong. Once installed, they allow bolts and screws to secure securely and resist stripping. They are essential in a wide range of machines and buildings, ensuring durable and reliable connections.

Product advantages

Robust Weld round nuts have an important design feature: a small pilot or alignment tab sticking out. Before the welding operation of the workpiece begins, the small component needs to be precisely embedded in the preset drilled hole of the workpiece to ensure that the positions of the components are perfectly aligned during the welding process, laying the foundation for the accuracy of the subsequent welding process.

It stops the nut from spinning when you're installing it and keeps the inner threads straight relative to the surface it's being attached to. This tab is really useful for fast, automated assembly lines—keeps things consistent and saves time by cutting out the need for manual adjustments.

Materials used

Our regular Robust Weld round nuts are made from low carbon steel, which welds really well. We also have versions in stainless steel—like 304 and 316—for better rust resistance in tough environments. They meet different international standards, too.
