Some versions use stronger plastic, but that’s usually for specific needs like weight or resisting rust. Metal is still the standard, though,it lasts longer and feels sturdier.

Surface treatment process

Top seal retaining clip can look different in lots of ways, thanks to various surface treatments on their zinc alloy base.

Common finishes include nickel plating (which looks bright silver), black nickel (dark grey), antique brass (a vintage gold color), or antique bronze (a rich brown). These platings help resist rust and give you different color choices.

Other finishes,like polished, brushed, matte, or even painted,mean the buckle can match the product’s design and where it’s used pretty well.
