Conical Spring Preload

The External Tooth Serrated Conical Lock Washers is in a shallow dish shape (conical) in its free state and has a certain natural height.

When the tightening operation began, the washer was pushed into the recess, and the conical structure was gradually flattened.

The flattened washer, despite being compressed, always strives to return to its original conical shape, thus continuously generating an axial resilient force.

This elastic force acts between the head of the screw and the workpiece, maintaining a constant preload for the thread and compensating for small gaps caused by thermal expansion, wear or material deformation.

External Tooth Mechanical Lock

There is a row of sharp radial teeth on the outer circumference of the External Tooth Serrated Conical Lock Washers.

When the washer is flattened, these outer teeth bite into the surface of the workpiece, creating multiple mechanical engagements.

After the teeth bite in, it is equivalent to adding anti-rotation resistance between the washer and the workpiece.

This mechanical locking mechanism can effectively resist loosening caused by vibration, shock and dynamic loads.

Countersunk Flush Fit

The conical surface of the External Tooth Serrated Conical Lock Washers matches the conical surface of the standard countersunk screw head.

After installation, the washer is fully inserted into the recess of the workpiece, and the head of the screw is level with or slightly lower than the surface of the workpiece.

This ensures that the assembly surface is smooth and flat, without any protrusions, and does not cause discomfort when touched, does not interfere with other components, and does not affect the meshing between the teeth and the workpiece.
