Two Fold Self Locking Large Washers

Installing the Two fold self locking large washers is quite simple. Just make sure the large toothed surface is aligned properly and placed in the correct position, and then tighten the bolt or nut to the standard torque to complete the process. Its installation does not require complex techniques or expensive tools, but there are several key points that must be noted in order to achieve 100% performance.

（1）Preparation before Installation

Cleaning workpiece: Ensure that the contact surfaces of bolts, nuts, Two fold self locking large washers and the connected parts are clean, flat, free of oil stains, rust or burrs.

Number of washer to be checked: They must be used in pairs (two pieces constitute one set) when in use.

Check the type of installation surface: whether it is through-hole or blind-hole configuration and determine the number of washers.

（2）Place the washer

Remove the pairs of washers and ensure that the "large toothed surface (wedge-shaped surface)" are facing each other. Do not split or install them in the wrong order.

（3）Distinguish between through holes and blind holes

Blind hole / bolt connection: Just a pair of Two fold self locking large washers are needed, placed between the bolt head and the connected component. The nut is tightened on the other side.

Through-hole / Bolt-Nut Assembly: When in use, two pairs of Two fold self locking large washers are required. One pair is placed under the bolt head, and the other pair is placed under the nut.

（4）Ensure proper contact

Make sure that the radial tooth surfaces on the outer side of the washer are in contact with one side of the bolt head (or nut), and the other side is in contact with the surface of the connected component.

（5）Tighten

Use a torque wrench and tighten the fasteners according to the corresponding torque values.

Can it be reused?

The Two fold self locking large washers can usually be reused. After being removed from the equipment, both pieces of the gasket must be thoroughly inspected.

Conditions for allowing reuse: If the large tooth surface on the inner ring and the radial teeth on the outer side show no excessive wear, no visible deformation, no cracks or damage, then they can be cleaned and reinstalled.

The situation requiring replacement: If inspection reveals obvious wear or damage, a new set of washers must be immediately replaced to prevent insufficient locking force.
