（1）Spring steel

Common grades: 65Mn, C67S, SK5

Hardness: HRC 40–50

Features: The elasticity is the best, and the biting force is the strongest; the teeth are sharp and can deeply penetrate the metal surface; the price is low and the cost-performance ratio is high.

Disadvantages: Bare steel is prone to rusting and requires surface treatment; it is not suitable for humid or corrosive environments.

①A2 (304 stainless steel)

Hardness: Approximately HRC 25–35 (softer than spring steel)

Features: Universal corrosion resistance, good rust prevention ability; stainless; no need for additional coating; the bite force is not as strong as that of spring steel, but it is sufficient for general vibrations.

Application scenarios: humid environments, food equipment, medical devices, general indoor and outdoor rust prevention

②A4 (316 stainless steel)

Hardness: approximately HRC 25–35

Features: Contains molybdenum, more resistant to chloride ion corrosion 'resistant to salt fog, resistant to seawater, resistant to chemicals ； The cost is 30-50% higher than 304.

Features: Conductive, heat-conductive; golden in appearance, decorative; rust resistance is average; low in strength, teeth are prone to wear and tear.

（1）What is the maximum temperature for External serrations Lock Washers?

Spring steel with galvanization is generally suitable for temperatures ranging from -20°C to +120°C; stainless steel A2/A4 can be used up to -200°C to +300°C.

（2）Which material is best for electrical grounding?
