Stainless Steel
1.A2 (304) stainless steel
It has excellent corrosion resistance and can withstand most weak acids, weak bases, humid environments and oxidative environments.
The hardness is approximately 220 - 300 Brinell hardness, and its elasticity is lower than that of spring steel.
The surface is shiny and the material is stainless steel. Usually, no additional surface treatment is required; only passivation treatment is needed.
The 304 stainless steel Countersunk External Tooth Lock Washers is suitable for food machinery, medical equipment, indoor humid equipment and general outdoor environments.
2.A4 (316) stainless steel:
The corrosion resistance is significantly superior to 304.
Resistant to salt fog, seawater and chemical erosion, it is the preferred material for marine environments and chemical plants.
The cost is about 30% to 50% higher than 304 steel. But when used in highly corrosive conditions, it lasts far longer than regular stainless steel.
Phosphor Bronze
Phosphor bronze is an alloy made of copper, tin and phosphorus.It has no magnetism, conducts electricity well, won’t create sparks, and also stands up well to corrosion.
After being strengthened through cold processing, it still maintains good elasticity.
Although its hardness and strength are lower than those of spring steel, its overall performance is the most distinctive among the three.
The cost is higher than that of spring steel, and its elasticity is not as good as that of spring steel.
