(1)Will the surface treatment be damaged after the Weld square nut is welded? How to repair it?
A: During the welding process, the coating in the protruding area will be melted, and the surrounding coating may change color due to high temperature. For outdoor applications, it is recommended to apply a cold galvanizing spray or zinc-rich primer to the local weld area after welding. If a Dacromet coating or stainless steel material is used, no additional coating is required after welding.
(2)Can the sample be welded onto plates of different thicknesses for testing?
Yes. Our recommended welding parameter table covers various plate thicknesses such as 0.8mm, 1.0mm, 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm, and 3.0mm.
(3)How to select the appropriate performance level?
For general sheet metal connections and non-load-bearing areas: Grade 4.8 or Grade 6.8 (low carbon steel).
Withstanding significant tension or vibration (such as in car chassis and seats): 8.8 grade or 10.9 grade (high-strength steel).
Corrosion environment (outdoor, marine, food): Stainless steel A2-70 or A4-70.
