Steel Threaded Rod are widely used in real life. The following information will help you use them correctly.
(1)Architecture and Structural Engineering
Hanging system: Used for hoisting air ducts, water pipes, cable trays, and fire protection pipes. The length can be adjusted on-site.
Steel structure support: Acting as tension rods, diagonal supports, and horizontal supports, it is used for connecting steel beams and steel columns, and is responsible for withstanding tension.
Skylight and exterior wall: Fixed skylight frame, stone hanging pieces, aluminum plate support.
Pre-buried parts: Embedded in the concrete and can be directly used during the later installation process.
(2)Transportation and municipal engineering
Road guardrail: The connecting rods or tension bars used to connect the guardrail posts.
Bridge construction: Temporary supports, hanging basket lifting rods, formwork tie rods.
Rail Transit: Pipeline hangers and equipment fixation within subway tunnels.
(3)Agriculture and Horticulture
Greenhouse: As connecting rods and tension rods of the arch frame, commonly used are heat-dip coated threaded rods for rust prevention.
Fences and trellises: Installing fence posts, building grape trellises and flower racks.
(4)Home and DIY
Adjustable furniture: Make adjustable table legs and shelf support feet. Use threaded rods and nuts to level them.
Shelf system: Connection of the uprights of warehouse shelves and fixation of the crossbeams.
Small-scale production: Framework connections for models, display stands, and simple workbenches.

An introduction to some common materials for Steel Threaded Rod, please read
Common carbon steel: Q235, C1010, C1022. Low strength, low cost, suitable for light load and indoor dry environment.
Medium carbon steel (tempering): 35#, 45#, 40Cr. Heat treatable, can reach grades 8.8 and 10.9, used for general mechanical structures.
Alloy steel: 4140, 4145 (ASTM A193 B7). Used for high-temperature and high-pressure applications, high strength, good creep resistance.
Stainless steel: 304 (A2), 316 (A4). Corrosion-resistant, moderate strength (A2-70, A4-80).
Others: 2205 duplex steel, 316L, 321. Special for corrosion resistance or high-temperature applications.
Surface treatment is of vital importance for the performance of Steel Threaded Rod. Let's learn about it together!
Uncoated (Original Color): No additional protection, prone to rusting, suitable for dry environments only.
Galvanization (Electroplating): Provides basic rust prevention, without altering the strength of the substrate. The coating is relatively thin (5-15 μm), and the salt spray test typically lasts 48-96 hours.
Hot-dip galvanizing: The coating is thick (40-80 μm), providing better corrosion resistance, but the thread size needs to take into account the increased thickness of the coating, which may affect the fit.
Blackening/Oxidation: Has almost no rust prevention ability and is only used for appearance or temporary rust prevention.
Dakro/Jumet: High corrosion resistance (salt spray test can last up to 500 - 1000 hours), no hydrogen embrittlement risk, suitable for high-strength bolts.
