The Stainless Steel Flat Washer M6 is a thin and flat metal ring with a hole in the center. It is used in conjunction with M6 bolts or screws. It falls under the category of ordinary washers and is one of the most commonly used fastening components in mechanical assemblies.

During the DIY process of furniture, the Stainless Steel Flat Washer M6 is a cost-effective yet highly effective "upgrade" option. It can help you complete the assembly smoothly at several key stages.
(1)Prevent the screw head from "penetrating" the wood
When screwing screws onto density board or pine wood, since the hardness of the wood is insufficient to bear the pressure of the screw head, the screw head is likely to simply sink in. This not only causes a depression on the wood surface but also affects the appearance.
Using Stainless Steel Flat Washer M6 is equivalent to providing a "support base" for the screw head. The washers distribute the pressure over a large area, sharing it with the thick wood.
(2)Disperse the pressure on the bed frame or cabinet body
The metal fittings at the connection points of the bed frame, bookcase and wardrobe are embedded in the wooden parts. If the bolts are tightened directly, the edges of the metal parts may press down on the wood, causing dents. Over time, they may loosen and even cause the wood to crack.
Adding an M6 flat washer between the nut and the wood can help absorb some of the vibrations and impacts generated during daily use by changing the pressure from "line" to "surface".
(3)Anti-loosening assistance (with spring washers)
Table legs with rollers, shelves that frequently move - relying solely on flat washers is not enough to prevent loosening. At this point, a combination of flat washers and spring washers can be used.
(4)Provides rust prevention in outdoor or humid environments
For the hardware used in places like balcony railings, outdoor tables and chairs, as well as bathroom cabinets, the ordinary galvanized washers will gradually rust and turn yellow over time, leaving rust marks.
Replace with Stainless Steel Flat Washer M6, which have better corrosion resistance and are suitable for humid and outdoor environments. They can be used in various conditions such as metal, wood, and outdoor applications.
