        Product Description

        Radial force

        The outward-expanding force of the Round Wire Snap Ring is converted into a positive pressure on the side walls of the groove, ensuring that the retaining ring does not freely rotate or become loose within the groove.

        Axial force

        When the restricted part is subjected to axial thrust, this thrust is transmitted through the end face of the part to the side of the retaining ring. The retaining ring then transfers the force to the axial side wall of the groove.

        Since the Round Wire Snap Ring is a complete ring and the groove is also a full circle, it can withstand uniform axial loads.

        Self-locking feature

        As long as the depth and width dimensions of the groove are qualified, the retaining ring will become increasingly tightly pressed against the bottom of the groove when subjected to axial pressure, and will not jump out of the groove. This is the unique self-locking property of the elastic opening retaining ring.

        Surface treatment

        Medium (about 24-48 hours of salt spray test)

        Phosphating + Oil/Wax Coating

        Form a phosphate chemical conversion film with strong sealing properties.

        Excellent (about 48-72 hours salt spray test)

        Has better anti-corrosion and lubrication properties than blackening, suitable for humid or scenarios requiring frequent disassembly.

        Electroplating (Galvanizing/Nickel Plating)

        The surface is covered with a metal coating. Common types include galvanizing and nickel plating.

        Good ( approximately 96-200 hours salt spray test )

        The Round Wire Snap Ring after Electroplating has a shiny appearance and is suitable for occasions with high decoration requirements or mild industrial environments.

        Dacromet

        A special zinc-aluminum coating with excellent corrosion resistance.

        Excellent (typically over 1000 hours in salt spray tests)

        No risk of hydrogen embrittlement. It is the preferred high-corrosion protection solution for automobiles and outdoor equipment.
