This is the installation instruction for the Round Wire C Clips Internal Snap Rings that we have summarized. It is intended for reference by engineering technicians and on-site operators.
1.Pre-installation inspection
The Round Wire C Clips Internal Snap Rings must be installed in the pre-machined circular groove inside the hole. The size of the groove directly determines the axial bearing capacity and service life of the clamping ring.
The edges of the groove must be chamfered or rounded, and the depth, width and bottom corner radius of the groove must comply with the standards.
2.Select the correct tool
The Internal Circlip Pliers must be used.
The diameter of the jaws should match the hole of the circlip, and the jaws should fit in snugly without being too loose or too tight.
3.Detailed installation instructions
Wear safety goggles.
Push the plier tips all the way into the two ear holes of the ring. Make sure they’re seated well so they don’t slip out.
Squeeze the handles to compress the ring until its outside diameter is smaller than the hole.
Keep it squeezed. Slide the ring into the hole and bring it down to the groove. Do it gently so the ring doesn’t tilt or come off.
Slowly release the handle of the clamp, allowing the snap ring to naturally spring open within the groove.
Remove the locking pliers and inspect the installation quality of the Round Wire C Clips Internal Snap Rings.

1.Always wear protective glasses.
The Round Wire C Clips Internal Snap Rings can fly out at high speed for several meters.
2.Do not use the bent clamps.
If the clamp is distorted, has an excessively large or small opening, or has obvious dents, it must be discarded and replaced with a new one.
3.Pay attention to the installation direction
Some C-shaped clamps have sharp edges and smooth edges. The sharp edges should face the direction where the axial thrust is applied, while the smooth edges should face the bottom of the hole. The direction should be confirmed before installation.
4.Clean the groove before installation
Oil, iron filings and rust will prevent the snap ring from fully entering the groove
5.Confirm that the aperture size matches the groove dimensions.
6.Use the correct type of pliers
The Round Wire C Clips Internal Snap Rings for the holes must be tightened using a hole retaining ring plier; no other tools should be used as a substitute.
