Pan head self tapping screws from Xiaoguo® factory deliver customizable material grades, complete dimensional specifications, reliable anti-rust packaging and outstanding overall cost performance to meet diverse fastening demands across indoor, damp, coastal and chemical working environments.
The material of the Pan head self tapping screws directly determines where they can be used and how long they can last.
1.Indoor ordinary environment——carbon steel + galvanized coating
Carbon steel is the most common and cheapest material. The surface of screws after surface treatment is silver-white or yellowish in color.
It can fix the shells of indoor appliances, control panel panels, plastic parts, and thin iron sheets.
2.Damp or occasionally exposed to water——Carbon steel + Dacromet or Stainless steel
Dacromet is a silver-gray coating with superior rust prevention properties compared to galvanization. It can withstand salt spray tests for up to 500-1000 hours. It is suitable for outdoor environments where it will be exposed to rain but not directly soaked in water.
Stainless Steel: Has a silvery-white metallic luster and is inherently non-corrosive. Suitable for kitchen equipment, bathroom fixtures, and outdoor furniture.
3.By the seaside, in a chemical plant, constantly exposed to water for a long time——stainless steel 316
316 stainless steel contains molybdenum and is the "enhanced version" of "stainless steel".

To ensure the integrity of the Pan head self tapping screws during transportation, storage and usage, we adopt a multi-level packaging scheme.
1.Inner packaging
Bulk cargo packaging: Plastic bags placed inside cardboard boxes
Small batch packaging: Corrugated cardboard box
Retail packaging: PVC blister box
2.Anti-rust drying treatment
Carbon steel screws: Place desiccant and anti-rust paper
Stainless steel screws: The packaging environment should be kept dry and they should not be mixed with carbon steel.
Special requirement: Can be packaged in vacuum or nitrogen-filled manner.
3.Outer packaging
Five-layer corrugated paper, compressive strength≥200 kg

The Pan head self tapping screws prove that: reasonable process design + large-scale standardized production = high performance + low price.
1.Material cost
Standard carbon steel remains the first choice for most customers, and the raw material price is lower than that of stainless steel.
The surface of the stainless steel is hard while the core is tough. Compared with screws of the same performance, the heat treatment cost is lower.
The surface treatment is selected based on the actual operating conditions to avoid unnecessary expenses.
2.Process cost
Cold heading forming: The material utilization rate is close to 98%, with almost no waste.
High-speed production of thread rolling: Without a dedicated rolling machine, only 200-300 pieces can be rolled at a time. This allows for cost savings in terms of equipment and labor.
3.Replacement cost

| Number of parts | 1 | 2 |
| Installation process | 1 | 2 |
| Tool | Cross-head screwdriver | die set + wrench/electric screwdriver |
| Total cost per unit (materials + labor) | Low 30% - 50% | High |
