DIN 7981 Self Tapping Screws from Xiaoguo® factory eliminate cumbersome pre-threading and nut welding procedures required for ordinary fasteners, delivering efficient self-threading fastening performance for sheet metal, plastic and thin panel assembly.
Have you ever seen an ordinary screw?Ordinary screws need to be threaded by hand first, or a nut needs to be welded onto the metal plate before they can be screwed in.But DIN 7981 self tapping screws don't require this —— they can "create" the threads on their own.
At the spot where you need to screw in the screws, first use an electric drill to make a small hole. The diameter of this hole is slightly larger than the "core" of the DIN 7981 self tapping screws.
Insert the pointed end of the screw into the small hole, and then use an electric screwdriver to tighten it.
The pointed end of the screw will widen the opening.
Because the coarse thread of the screw is larger than the hole, when it is turned in, it will exert force to squeeze the metal or plastic on the wall of the hole.
In this way, as the screw rotated, it pressed out a series of "internal threads" on the wall of the hole, which perfectly matched the threads on its own body.
3.After tightening, the material "holds" the screw.
When the screw is fully tightened, the compressed material will slightly spring back a little, tightly gripping the screw's threads. This "embracing" creates a significant amount of friction, so the DIN 7981 self tapping screws will not come loose on their own.

To safeguard the rights and interests of our customers, we offer the following after-sales services for the DIN 7981 self tapping screws product.
Within 12 months from the date of goods receipt, if any performance issues arise due to the material, manufacturing process or heat treatment defects of the product, we will offer free return and exchange services.
If the problem is caused by improper use by the customer, it will not be covered by the warranty. But we will assist in resolving the problem.
Before the customer makes a purchase, we will provide a recommended table of screw hole dimensions based on the actual materials used by the customer. Provide reference values for installation torque.
If a customer is using self‑tapping screws for the first time, we’ll send them free samples (about 20 pieces) so they can test them out before production.
Customers can reach out to us by email or through our online platform, and just attach any photos or videos they have.
We’ll respond within 24 hours and help them figure out the problem. If they need to send us a sample for testing, we’ll follow the standard process.
