The High Collar Lock Washer are not all of the same design. They are usually customized according to different requirements, and there are several types. Here are the five common types:
(1)Single-ring standard type (the most common, DIN 127 / GB 93)
The traditional open spiral spring washer, consisting of a metal ring with an opening. Suitable for most low to medium load anti-loosening applications, and it is also the most common and widely used High Collar Lock Washer on the market.
(2)Double-ring Heavy-duty (DIN 128)
It has two rings, one more than the standard type. It has greater elasticity and better vibration resistance. It is used in heavy machinery, vehicle chassis, and areas with high vibration.

(3)Wave-shaped spring washers
They are not spiral-shaped but have a wavy shape with several peaks and valleys. They are used in places where space is extremely limited but elasticity is still required, such as applying pre-pressure to bearings.
(4)Disc-shaped spring washer (Belleville washer)
Its shape is conical, resembling a small dish. It can withstand extremely high pressure and is used in places requiring high-strength spring compensation, such as thermal expansion and contraction, wear compensation, etc.
(5)Toothed locking washer (inner teeth / outer teeth, DIN 6797 / DIN 6798)
It has serrations around the edge and bites into the surface of the workpiece after being tightened, providing excellent anti-slip performance. It is mainly used in areas requiring electrical conductivity (such as grounding wires), or for anti-loosening of small screws.

The High Collar Lock Washer need good elasticity and the ability to maintain elasticity. Therefore, the selection of materials is very important. Here are some common types of materials:
Spring steel (65Mn / 70 steel / 82B)
A common material with the highest order rate, offering good value for money and excellent elasticity. 65Mn is the most commonly used material for High Collar Lock Washer, with a hardness typically ranging from 42 to 50 HRC (approximately 420 to 510 HV). This hardness is sufficient to maintain elasticity while being unlikely to break.
Stainless Steel SUS304 / SUS316
The 304 stainless steel is mainly used in humid, outdoor or areas with cleaning requirements (food equipment, medical devices). The 316 stainless steel is more resistant to chloride ion corrosion and is used in marine engineering and chemical industries.
Carbon steel (08F / 10# / 45#)
Used for low-load, non-critical parts; the elastic surface treatment requires galvanization for rust prevention.
