The UN stainless steel sealing clinching nut is a specialized fastener that gets permanently installed in sheet metal. It has a built-in sealing part,usually a rubber washer or a molded seal,under the clinching base. You press this nut ("clinch" it) into a pre-punched hole in the sheet. When you do that, the metal around the hole deforms to make a strong, load-bearing thread, and at the same time, it compresses the seal.
