The end of the studs for drawn arc stud welding has a threaded structure, which is used to connect other components; the other end is the welding end, usually equipped with an arc starter or specially designed to facilitate the generation of a stable arc during welding.

The studs for drawn arc stud welding have high welding efficiency. Through arc welding, a screw stud can be welded in just a few seconds, which is much faster than traditional bolt connections and is suitable for mass production. After welding, the bonding strength between the screw stud and the base material is high, capable of withstanding large tensile and shear forces. Moreover, the weld seam has good sealing properties and is not prone to loosening or leakage.
The arc starter agent or the pointed cone structure can quickly ignite the arc, making the welding process more stable. During welding, there is no need to drill holes in the base material. This does not compromise the integrity of the base material and also avoids the problems of water leakage and air leakage that may occur with traditional bolt connections.
When pouring concrete floor slabs on the steel deck, these studs can serve as shear connectors. They are vertically welded onto the beams using ceramic spacers. They are embedded in the concrete and lock the steel bars and concrete together. They are suitable for heavy loads in parking lots or high-rise buildings. For critical structural connections, arc stud welding can achieve deeper fusion than CD welding.
The studs for drawn arc stud welding can be fixed on structural steel. Within a few seconds, the ⅜-inch studs can be welded onto the top. Just screw the rod into the stud - no drilling or heat treatment license is required. It is more robust than gun-driven fasteners. During installation, the height of the bracket can be easily adjusted.
