A round wing shape nut is a single-piece fastener. It has a threaded central shaft in the center, and two circular wings (ear-like projections) extending from each side. It has no separate handle or insert - these wings and the nut body are formed as a single piece of metal, usually through cold heading. The surfaces of these wings are smooth and curved outward, allowing them to be easily grasped with fingers. The central part is a standard threaded hole, identical to any hexagonal nut. The threads are formed by rolling, so they are clean and consistent. The bottom of the nut is flat, without a flange or serrated edge.

The construction is very simple: no welding is required, and no additional components are needed. It is just a complete metal sheet with two circular wings and a threaded through hole on each side. That's it.
