These Din Standard Hex Head Bolts have simple strength ratings based on European mechanical standards. We don’t add any extra descriptions to the numbers. The most widely used carbon steel grade is 4.8, made from low carbon steel. It works for light tasks such as basic frames and regular fixtures, with tensile strength around 400MPa. Grade 8.8 uses medium carbon steel with heat treatment, suitable for common machinery and pipe connections, with tensile strength up to 800MPa. Grade 10.9 is alloy steel, made for vehicle parts and building structures that hold heavy weight consistently. The strongest standard grade is 12.9, also alloy steel, used for industrial equipment under constant stress, with tensile strength over 1200MPa. Stainless steel types use marks like A2-50, A2-70 and A4-70. They focus more on rust resistance than tensile strength, good for outdoor and chemical-exposed work. Each grade is clearly marked on the bolt head, so people can choose the right one easily. We don’t make any performance claims outside the tested data.
What surface treatments are available for this Din Standard Hex Head Bolts?
We offer three practical surface treatments: electro-galvanizing, hot-dip galvanizing and black oxide. Electro-galvanizing is suitable for indoor dry environments; hot-dip galvanizing has better anti-rust performance for outdoor and humid scenes; black oxide is a cost-effective option for general indoor use. All treatments will not damage the thread structure and ensure normal installation.
